Shocking new theory: Humans hunted, ate Neanderthals
Tue May 21, 2013
The "barbecue theory" is completely unsupported by evidence. First, Neanderthals were closer than chimpanzees and gorillas to modern humans. In addition, it is only partly true to say that humans eat chimpanzees and gorillas.

Detroit is 'clearly insolvent,' emergency manager says
Mon May 13, 2013
It's never been tried before, but would it be possible to sell Detroit to the auto manufacturers? They probably own it anyway, for all intents and purposes, and the people would be better off in a city that was not bankrupt. It's hard to imagine a greater loss of political rights of a ci …
Hooters offers free meal for moms on Mother's Day ... and bring the kids
Fri May 10, 2013

Wed May 1, 2013
“If there is imminent risk of serious physical harm to the child and there is insufficient time to obtain a court order to remove the child from the care of the parents ... the social worker or law enforcement officer can remove the child.” But in this case, there was not imminent risk o …
Teensy alien-looking skeleton from Chile poses a medical mystery
Tue Apr 30, 2013
Are we sure that it's not an artifact made of human tissue, as opposed to being true remains?
Bejeweled skeleton may be that of ancient queen
Fri Apr 26, 2013
"'It is interesting to think who this woman was within her community' ...." Interesting, but ultimately an exercise in speculation. If we have similar remains from other Beaker culture burials, we can compare this one to those.
Feast your eyes on new Stonehenge theory
Wed Apr 24, 2013
This is a very plausible explanation as to why the site was viewed as important. But there is no reason to exclude the possibility that the site was used as an astronomical reference point from a very early time, even before the construction of Stonehenge as we know it.
